  • The Department of Economics organized the 7th International Conference of the Middle East Economic Association jointly with the Middle East Economic Association whis was held between May, 29-31 May 2008 at the Building of the Faculty of Business and Economics.   • The Economic Research Center under the Department has been granted two projects by the Ministry of Education. The projects are on “Poverty in North Cyprus” and “Forecasting the Electricity Demand in North Cyprus”.

  

  • The Department of Economics organized a workshop from the 8-9th of October 2009 on Macroeconomics and Financial Economics, with emphasis on" Recent Developments in Theory and Empirical Modelling".
